Aleksandra Gadzala Tirziu, PhD is a globally recognized leader in foreign policy and geopolitics. Her expertise spans the most pressing issues in American foreign policy and national security, with a sharp focus on the dynamics of great power competition, notably China’s expanding influence. With a diverse background that encompasses the private and public sectors, as well as media, Aleksandra has provided extensive counsel to corporations and governments worldwide.
Aleksandra is founder of the geopolitics and public affairs consultancy, Magpie Advisory. She is also Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council, and a Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Zurich, in Switzerland. Aleksandra is the author of the highly acclaimed book, Africa and China: How Africans and Their Governments are Shaping Relations with China, and has had her insights featured in numerous international forums and media outlets.
